Vacuum sealing bags are airtight, reusable plastic bags that compress clothing or fabrics, removing excess air using a vacuum cleaner or handheld air pump. They’re typically used for storing bulky items like blankets or winter clothing, but they’re also great for storing ethnic clothing. Now all your saris, dresses, panchapi suits, and long dresses will fit easily in your suitcase.
Let’s take a closer look. First, carefully fold the garment. Lay the sari or suit flat and carefully fold along the seams. Avoid creasing too tightly. Place soft paper towels between the layers to prevent the embellishments from rubbing against each other. Place the garment in a vacuum-sealed bag, zip it up, and ensure it’s tightly sealed. Release any excess air.
Regardless of the size of your suitcase, remember to pack as little as possible. Accessories are also essential. Good news: vacuum sealed bags will save a lot of space and protect your clothes from accidental spills and dust. This way, your next out-of-town wedding won’t be as dreadful as you imagine.
To avoid accidents, please minimize squeezing items with intricate embroidery to prevent damage to the delicate gold threads or beads. Upon arrival, please unpack and hang the item immediately to restore it to its original appearance. If you don’t have a vacuum cleaner, a portable hand-held air pump will do.
